General Profile Settings

A profile in Scrollengine groups delivery configuration for a location. Each profile defines which delivery methods are active, what rules apply, and how scheduling works for that location.

What is a profile?

Think of a profile as a configuration template attached to a location. It contains:

  • Active delivery methods (local delivery, pickup, shipping)
  • Delivery zone rules
  • Time slot and scheduling settings
  • Widget behavior for that location

Creating a profile

  1. Go to Settings > Profiles
  2. Click Create Profile
  3. Name the profile descriptively (e.g., "Downtown Delivery Config")
  4. Attach the profile to one or more locations
  5. Configure delivery methods and rules within the profile

Profile settings

Delivery methods

Toggle which delivery options are available for this profile:

  • Local Delivery
  • Pickup
  • Shipping

Default delivery fees

Set base pricing for delivery within this profile. You can override these at the rule level for specific zones.

Order limits

Control how many orders per time slot this location can handle. This prevents over-scheduling.

Cutoff times

Define how far in advance customers must place orders. For example, a 2-hour cutoff means no same-day orders placed less than 2 hours before a time slot.

Assigning profiles to locations

  1. Navigate to Settings > Locations
  2. Select a location
  3. Under the Profile dropdown, choose the profile
  4. Save

A single profile can be shared across multiple locations if they have identical delivery configurations.

When to use multiple profiles

  • Stores in different regions with different delivery zones
  • Locations with different operating hours
  • Seasonal variations — create a "Holiday" profile with adjusted capacity and hours
