Installing Scrollengine

Scrollengine is available as a Shopify app. Installation takes under two minutes.

Prerequisites​

  • An active Shopify store (any plan)
  • Store admin access

Step 1: Install from Shopify App Store​

  1. Visit the Scrollengine listing on the Shopify App Store
  2. Click Add app
  3. Review the permissions Scrollengine requires and click Install app

Scrollengine requires the following Shopify permissions:

  • Orders — To read and manage delivery orders
  • Products — To support product-based delivery rules
  • Customers — To associate delivery preferences
  • Theme — To embed delivery widgets on your storefront

Step 2: Complete initial setup​

After installation, Scrollengine opens the setup wizard. You'll be asked to:

  1. Add your store location — Enter your store address. This becomes your default pickup and dispatch location.
  2. Choose delivery methods — Select which delivery methods you want to offer (local delivery, pickup, shipping).
  3. Define your service area — Set a basic delivery zone using zip codes or radius.
  4. Set working hours — Define the days and times you accept orders for each delivery method.

You can always change these settings later. The setup wizard gets you operational quickly — fine-tune from the dashboard afterward.

Step 3: Add the delivery widget to your storefront​

For customers to select delivery options at checkout, you need to embed the Scrollengine widget:

Step 4: Verify your setup​

  1. Open your Shopify store in a browser
  2. Add a product to cart
  3. Go to the cart page — you should see the delivery widget with your configured options
  4. Place a test order and confirm it appears in the Scrollengine dashboard
