Location Details and Hours
Each location in Store Locator Map: SE can be configured with detailed business hours, special schedules, amenities, custom attributes, and photos. This guide covers how to set up and manage these per-location details.
Business Hoursβ
Setting Regular Hoursβ
Regular business hours define the standard weekly operating schedule for a location.
- Open the location editor by navigating to Locations and clicking on the location.
- Scroll to the Hours of Operation section.
- For each day of the week, set the opening time and closing time using the time pickers.
- To mark a day as closed, toggle the Closed switch for that day.
- Click Save.
Split Hoursβ
Some locations close for a break during the day (e.g., a lunch break). To configure split hours:
- Click Add time range next to the relevant day.
- Enter the first time range (e.g., 09:00 AM -- 12:00 PM).
- Enter the second time range (e.g., 1:00 PM -- 5:00 PM).
- Add additional ranges as needed.
24-Hour Locationsβ
For locations that operate around the clock, toggle the Open 24 hours switch for the relevant days.
Copy Hours Across Daysβ
To apply the same hours to multiple days:
- Configure the hours for one day.
- Click the Copy to other days button.
- Select the days you want to apply the same schedule to.
- Click Apply.
Special Hoursβ
Special hours override the regular schedule for specific dates. Use them for seasonal changes, events, or other temporary adjustments.
Adding Special Hoursβ
- In the location editor, scroll to Special Hours.
- Click Add Special Hours.
- Select the date or date range.
- Enter the adjusted opening and closing times, or mark the date as closed.
- Optionally, add a label (e.g., "Holiday Hours," "Summer Schedule") that will be displayed to customers.
- Click Save.
Example Special Hoursβ
| Date | Label | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Dec 24 | Christmas Eve | 10:00 AM -- 3:00 PM |
| Dec 25 | Christmas Day | Closed |
| Dec 31 | New Year's Eve | 10:00 AM -- 6:00 PM |

Holiday Closuresβ
For recurring holidays, you can define annual closures that automatically apply each year.
- Go to Settings > Locations > Holidays.
- Click Add Holiday.
- Enter the holiday name and select the date (or a recurring rule, such as "Fourth Thursday in November").
- Choose whether the holiday applies to all locations or only to specific ones.
- Click Save.
When a holiday falls on a given date, all affected locations are automatically displayed as closed on the widget. If you need a location to remain open on a holiday, add special hours for that location on the holiday date to override the closure.
Open / Closed Status Displayβ
The widget automatically calculates whether a location is currently open or closed based on the configured hours, special hours, and holidays. The status is displayed on the location card and in the info window.
| Status | Display |
|---|---|
| Open | Shown with the current day's hours. |
| Closing soon | Shown when the location is within 30 minutes of closing (configurable). |
| Closed | Shown with the next opening time (e.g., "Closed -- Opens at 9:00 AM tomorrow"). |
Timezone Configurationβ
Each location uses a timezone to determine the correct open/closed status. The app automatically assigns a timezone based on the location's geocoded address. You can override this manually:
- In the location editor, scroll to Timezone.
- Select the correct timezone from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
Amenities and Servicesβ
Define the amenities and services available at each location. These appear as badges or icons on the location card and can be used as filters on the widget.
