Driver Marketplace
The driver marketplace allows you to post delivery orders that any available driver can claim, rather than assigning orders to specific drivers. This is ideal for operations with a pool of independent or contract drivers.
How it works
- Orders are posted to the marketplace
- Available drivers see posted orders in their mobile app
- Drivers claim orders they want to fulfill
- Once claimed, the order is assigned to that driver and removed from the marketplace
Adding orders to the marketplace
- Go to Orders
- Select one or more orders
- Click Add to Driver Marketplace
- The orders become visible to all active drivers in the mobile app
Driver experience
In the Scrollengine driver mobile app:
- Open the Marketplace tab
- Browse available orders — each shows:
- Delivery address and distance
- Order value
- Scheduled time slot
- Tap Claim on an order
- The order is assigned to the driver and moves to their active deliveries
When to use the marketplace
- You have a pool of independent drivers who set their own schedules
- During peak demand, you want to make overflow orders available to additional drivers
- You use a gig-style delivery model
When NOT to use the marketplace
- You need guaranteed assignment (use direct route assignment instead)
- Orders are time-sensitive and can't wait to be claimed
- You have a small, dedicated team (direct assignment is simpler)
Settings
- Auto-post — Automatically add unassigned orders to the marketplace after a configurable delay
- Claim window — Set how long an order stays in the marketplace before it's escalated
- Driver eligibility — Restrict marketplace visibility to drivers in specific zones or locations
