Quick Start Guide

Get your store delivery-ready in 5 minutes. This guide walks you through the essential setup steps to start accepting delivery and pickup orders.

Step 1: Add your store location

1. Go to Settings > Locations in the Scrollengine dashboard
2. Click Add Location
3. Enter your store name and full address
4. The address will be geocoded automatically — verify the map pin is accurate
5. Click Save

This location serves as your dispatch origin for deliveries and as a pickup point for customers.

Step 2: Set up a delivery method

Navigate to Delivery Methods and configure at least one option:

Local Delivery

• Enable Local Delivery
• Set the delivery radius or zip code coverage
• Define delivery fees (flat rate, distance-based, or free above a threshold)

Pickup

• Enable Pickup
• Set available pickup time slots
• Choose whether customers can schedule pickups or only same-day

Shipping

• Enable Shipping if you offer carrier-based shipping alongside local options

Step 3: Define your delivery zone

Go to Delivery Rules and create your service area:

• Zip Code — List the postal codes you serve
• Radius — Set a distance from your store location
• Map Zone — Draw a custom polygon on the map

Customers outside your delivery zone will only see pickup or shipping options.

Step 4: Configure time slots

Go to Scheduling > Time Slots:

1. Set your operating days (e.g., Monday–Saturday)
2. Define time windows for each delivery method (e.g., 9 AM – 12 PM, 12 PM – 3 PM)
3. Set a preparation time (e.g., 2 hours lead time) so customers can't select unrealistic slots

Step 5: Add the widget to your storefront

This is how customers will select their delivery preference:

1. Go to Widgets in Scrollengine
2. Follow the one-click setup for your Shopify theme, or manually add the widget to your cart page
3. Preview the widget on your storefront

You're live!

Place a test order to verify the full flow:

1. Add a product to your cart on your storefront
2. Select a delivery method, date, and time slot
3. Complete checkout
4. Check the Scrollengine dashboard — your order should appear with delivery details attached
