Adding Users & Drivers

Scrollengine supports multiple user roles. Add team members as admin users to manage operations, or as drivers to handle deliveries.

User rolesโ€‹

RoleAccess
AdminFull access to all dashboard features, settings, and configuration
ManagerOrder management, route planning, and driver assignment (no app settings)
DriverMobile app access only โ€” view assigned routes, update delivery status, capture proof

Adding a new userโ€‹

  1. Go to Settings > Users
  2. Click Add User
  3. Enter:
    • Name โ€” Full name
    • Email โ€” Used for login and notifications
    • Role โ€” Select Admin, Manager, or Driver
    • Phone โ€” For driver communication
  4. Click Send Invite

The user receives an email invitation with a link to set up their account and password.

Adding a driverโ€‹

Drivers are added the same way as other users, with the Driver role selected. After the driver accepts the invitation:

  1. They download the Scrollengine Driver App (iOS or Android)
  2. Log in with the credentials from the invite
  3. They're ready to receive route assignments and delivery orders

Managing usersโ€‹

Editing a userโ€‹

  • Go to Settings > Users
  • Click the user's name
  • Update their details or role
  • Save

Deactivating a userโ€‹

  • Toggle the user to Inactive rather than deleting
  • Inactive users can't log in but their history is preserved
  • Reactivate anytime

Assigning drivers to locationsโ€‹

For multi-location setups, assign drivers to specific locations:

  1. Edit the driver's profile
  2. Under Location, select the assigned location(s)
  3. The driver will only see orders from their assigned location(s)

Tipsโ€‹

  • Use descriptive names โ€” Especially for drivers, so dispatchers can identify them quickly
  • Set up all drivers before going live โ€” Ensure everyone has app access and has tested login
  • Review roles periodically โ€” Remove access for team members who have left
