Updating Order Geolocation

Occasionally, a delivery order's geocoded location may be inaccurate — the pin is on the wrong building, or the customer provided a partial address. Scrollengine lets you correct this.

When to update geolocation

  • Customer reports the pin is in the wrong location
  • Driver can't find the delivery address
  • Address was entered partially or incorrectly
  • Building entrance is on a different street than the geocoded point

How to update

  1. Go to Orders and open the order
  2. Click the address/map section
  3. You can:
    • Edit the address — Type a corrected address and re-geocode
    • Drag the map pin — Manually move the pin to the correct location
  4. Save the changes

Effects of updating geolocation

  • The order's position on route maps is updated
  • If the order is part of an active route, the route is recalculated
  • Driver navigation in the mobile app reflects the new coordinates
  • Zone assignment is re-evaluated (the order may now fall in a different delivery zone)

Updating shipment start location

If you need to change where the shipment departs from (e.g., switching to a different warehouse):

  1. Open the order details
  2. Click Edit on the shipment origin
  3. Select a different location from the dropdown
  4. Save

This is useful for multi-location operations where you want to reassign an order to a closer fulfillment point.
