Pickup Configuration

Pickup allows customers to collect their orders from your store location. Scrollengine provides scheduling, notifications, and tracking for pickup orders.

Enabling pickup

  1. Go to Delivery Methods
  2. Toggle Pickup to enabled
  3. Configure the options below

Pickup locations

If you have multiple locations, specify which ones offer pickup:

  • Enable pickup per location in the location's profile
  • Customers will see available pickup locations based on proximity or your configuration

Pickup scheduling

Time slotsDefine specific pickup windows (e.g., 10 AM–12 PM, 2 PM–4 PM)
Preparation timeMinimum lead time before a pickup is available (e.g., 1 hour)

Order capacity per slot

Limit the number of pickup orders per time slot to prevent congestion at your store:

  1. Go to Scheduling > Time Slots
  2. Set the maximum orders allowed per slot for the pickup method
  3. Once a slot reaches capacity, it's no longer shown to customers

Customer experience

  1. Customer adds items to cart
  2. In the delivery widget, they select Pickup
  3. If multiple locations are available, they choose a store
  4. They select a date and time slot
  5. No delivery fee is applied (or a handling fee, if configured)

Pickup notifications

Keep customers informed with automated notifications:

  • Order confirmed — Sent immediately after checkout
  • Ready for pickup — Triggered when you mark the order as ready in the dashboard
  • Pickup reminder — Optional reminder before the scheduled pickup time

Configure notifications in Email Notifications.

Managing pickup orders

Pickup orders appear in the Order Dashboard and can be filtered by delivery method. Use the Picklist feature to generate a list of items to prepare for upcoming pickups — see Picklist.
